The generator above shuffles the whole bank. Below is the rest of it, laid out block by block, so you can read the words before you paste them anywhere.
Hero lines
- Boilers, leaks and no drama
- Heat back on the same day
- One engineer, start to finish
Emergency call-outs answered within two hours across the region, and a boiler service that actually takes the case off.
Registered with the national gas safety scheme, fully insured, and willing to explain what the fault was before we invoice for it.
Your system should sit at 1.2 bar when cold. If it does not, something is wrong — and it is rarely the pressure itself.
Team bios
Fiona Braithwaite — Owner & gas engineer
Fiona served her apprenticeship on commercial plant and moved to domestic work in 2010, when she started the firm. She still takes emergency calls at weekends and can diagnose most boiler faults from the noise you describe down the phone. Restores cast-iron radiators for fun.
Ade Balogun — Heating engineer
Ade does most of our boiler installations and has now fitted somewhere over eleven hundred of them. He is fastidious about pipe runs and will redo a bend rather than leave one that looks wrong. Brews his own beer and brings it in at Christmas!
Milan Petrov — Bathrooms & plumbing
Milan handles the bathroom refits, the tiling and the awkward waste routes in old houses where nothing runs where the drawings claim. Fifteen years on the tools, and he leaves a site cleaner than he found it — dust sheets, every time.
Quotes
“Water was coming through the kitchen ceiling at nine at night. The engineer said “find your stopcock and shut it off, I am twenty minutes away” — and he was. Total cost £140.”
Deborah Ffoulkes, Burst feed pipe
“They serviced a boiler two other firms had told us to replace. It turned out to be a £38 diverter valve. That is the third year running they have talked themselves out of a bigger job.”
Krzysztof Malanowski, Annual service customer
“New boiler quoted at £2,650, fitted between 8am and 4pm, and they took the old one and every scrap of packaging away. The radiators are hotter than they have been in years!”
Yvonne Marchbank, Combi replacement
FAQ answers
How quickly can you come out in an emergency?
Within two hours for a leak or a total loss of heat, seven days a week. In a cold snap that stretches — one bad December week we were running at four hours — and we tell you honestly when you ring rather than promising a slot we will miss.
How often should a boiler be serviced?
Once a year, and the manufacturer's warranty almost always depends on it. A service takes about an hour, costs £96, and the readings go on a record sheet. Skipping two years running is the single most common reason we end up condemning a boiler.
My pressure keeps dropping. Is that serious?
It means water is leaving the system somewhere. Sometimes the relief valve is discharging outside, sometimes there is a pinhole under a floor, occasionally the expansion vessel has lost its charge. Topping it up weekly is not a fix — ring us and we will find where it goes.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Boiler and bathroom quotes are free, and we come and look rather than pricing from a photograph. Repair work runs at £75 for the first half hour and £48 per half hour after that, and we warn you before starting if it is heading past an hour.
Closing lines
If your heating is off right now, ring rather than emailing — the phone is answered 7:30am–8pm and by an engineer on call overnight. Say that it is an emergency and it will be treated as one.
For everything else we book routine work about ten days ahead, and service slots from September onwards fill up fast. A service booked in June costs the same as one booked in November and gets you a better appointment.
