Léa Marchetti — General manager
Léa has run the hotel since 2015 and worked three summers here before that. She still takes the Saturday evening shift on reception, because that is when the awkward questions arrive. If a room is not right, she would rather move you than discuss it with you.
Rasmus Thorsen — Breakfast & kitchen
Rasmus is in the building by 05:15 and has strong feelings about bread. He cooks the eggs to order himself until about 09:00, which is why the queue keeps moving. He has been known to make a second breakfast for a guest who overslept — once.
Nadia Chalhoub — Reception & bookings
Nadia handles the diary, the phone and the four languages the phone arrives in. She is the one who knows which restaurants will take a walk-in on a Saturday and which will pretend to be full. Ask her before you book anything at all.

FAQ answers
Can we check in before 15:00?
Rooms are ready from 15:00 and often by 13:00 on a quiet day. If you arrive off an early train, leave the bags with us and take a coffee in the courtyard, and we will send a text the moment your room is finished.
Are dogs allowed in the rooms?
Yes, in the six ground-floor and courtyard rooms, at €12 a night. We ask that they are not left alone in the room and that they use the side gate rather than the breakfast room. Bowls and a blanket live in the cupboard by the lift.
Is parking really available on site?
Twelve spaces behind a gate that opens with your room card, at €11 a night. We cannot reserve an individual space, but in nine years we have turned a guest away four times, and each of those was a market weekend in December.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free until 16:00 on the day before arrival for anything booked direct; after that we charge the first night. For stays of five nights or more we take a €100 deposit, refundable on the same terms. Not arriving without a call is charged in full.
Closing lines
We are not a chain hotel and we are not going to be charming about it. What we can promise is a clean room, a real breakfast, a lift to every floor, and somebody at the desk who has worked here longer than four months.
For accommodation over a longer stay — a fortnight or more, which we mostly see in January and February — ask about the monthly rate. It works out around 35% below the nightly price and includes a laundry service on Wednesdays.
