The generator above shuffles the whole bank. Below is the rest of it, laid out block by block, so you can read the words before you paste them anywhere.

We buy from thirty-one growers and producers in the region, and the shelf label tells you which one.
Team bios
Wanda Sikorska — Owner
Wanda took over from her father in 2009 and immediately fell out with him about the refit, which he now claims was his idea. She does the buying, walks the market at 5:00 twice a week, and knows the name of every grower on the shelf labels.
Samir Beaulieu — Head butcher
Samir has been cutting meat for twenty-two years and can break a lamb down faster than most people can decide what they want. He is a firm believer in the cheap cuts and will talk you out of a fillet if he thinks you would enjoy the shin more.
Grace Ogundele — Deli & cheese
Grace looks after ninety-odd cheeses and takes the maturation of each one personally. She will cut you a sliver of three things before you choose and is unembarrassed about telling you when a wheel is not ready. Her Christmas board list runs to two pages.
Quotes
“I asked for something to feed six people for about €30 and walked out with a shoulder of pork, a bag of bones and instructions. It fed nine. The instructions were written on the back of the receipt.”
Elin Kastrup, Shops here weekly
“The driver noticed the milk in my order was short-dated and swapped it before it left the shop. Nobody had asked him to do that. It is the whole difference between here and elsewhere, in one sentence.”
Marek Vondra, Delivery customer
“They phoned to say the sea bass was not good enough that morning and suggested hake instead — “it is half the price and it is better today”. Who on earth does that?!”
Ceren Aydın, Friday fish customer
FAQ answers
What are your opening hours?
7:00 to 22:00 every day including Sunday, and 8:00 to 20:00 on public holidays. The counters open at 8:00 and the butcher takes his last order fifteen minutes before closing, although he has been known to stay later for a good enough reason.
Do you deliver to my address?
Within 5 km, seven days a week, in one-hour slots between 8:00 and 20:00. Order before 11:00 for same-day delivery. It is €4 a slot and free over €60, and we do not add a picking fee or mark the online prices up.
Where does the produce come from?
Thirty-one growers and producers in the region cover around 70% of the fresh counters, and the wholesale market covers the rest. The shelf label names the farm. When something has been flown in — bananas in January, say — the label says so rather than hiding it.
Can you order something in for me?
Almost always. If it exists in a wholesaler’s catalogue we can have it within three to five working days, usually by the case and sometimes by the unit. No deposit on anything under €50, and we ring you the morning it lands.
Closing lines
We are the shop with the striped awning and the crates outside, open 7:00–22:00 every single day of the year except the 25th. Park in the loading bay for ten minutes if you are only running in for one thing — nobody here will mind.
If you cannot find something, ask whoever is nearest rather than looking for a manager, because everybody here knows the stock. And if we have sold the last one, we will tell you exactly when the next delivery lands.
