FAQ answers
Are you taking new patients?
Yes, for both routine and emergency care. Registering takes one form and about four minutes, and your first appointment is a longer one — 40 minutes rather than 25 — because we chart everything from scratch and read whatever notes your previous dentist sends over.
How much is a check-up?
$85 for the examination, $65 for a scale and polish with the hygienist, and $110 if you book the two together. X-rays are $25 each. The full list is on the wall by reception, and nothing is added without you agreeing to it first.
I am genuinely frightened of the dentist. What now?
Say so on the form and again when you arrive. We can give you the first slot of the day, keep the first visit to a conversation with no instruments out at all, and agree a hand signal that stops everything. About 30% of our patients tell us they are anxious.
How often should I actually come in?
That depends on your gums, not on the calendar. Some people are fine at twelve-month intervals; others do better with three-monthly hygienist visits. We set an interval at the end of each examination and explain what would change it — and it can move in both directions.

Book the boring appointment. Twenty-five minutes twice a year is the cheapest dentistry there is, and it is the version where nobody has to say the word “root” out loud in front of you.
We are open Monday to Friday 8:30–18:00 and Saturday mornings 9:00–13:00, with emergency slots held back each day. Ring, book online, or walk in and ask — reception will not make you feel bad about any of it.
