Most of the work we are asked to do begins with a report somebody else wrote. It is usually well argued, expensively bound and eighteen months old — and nothing in it ever happened. We start by asking why, because the answer is almost never that the analysis was wrong.

How we work

  • Operating model review — Three weeks of interviews, observation and data, ending in a written diagnostic that names the two or three constraints actually limiting throughput. Fixed at €18,500 regardless of how many sites we have to visit.
  • Decision papers — Two or three costed options, each with the argument against it written as honestly as the argument for. Typically forty pages, presented to your board in a ninety-minute session with no pre-meeting required.
  • Implementation support — A named consultant on site two or three days a week while the change goes in, working to your plan rather than to ours. Priced monthly, cancellable on thirty days' notice, with no minimum term.
  • Cost & margin analysis — We rebuild your cost picture from source data instead of from the management pack, which typically moves the answer by 4–9%. Expect at least one uncomfortable finding about a product line you are fond of.

Engagements have three phases and a fixed price for each: a three-week diagnostic, a decision paper with two or three costed options, and — if you want it — implementation support alongside your own people. You can stop after any phase, and roughly one client in five does. That is a legitimate outcome, not a failure.

Hero lines

  • Advice you can actually implement
  • We stay until it works
  • Fewer slides, more decisions

A nine-person firm that takes four engagements at a time, because five would mean sending you someone you never met.

Diagnostic in three weeks, a decision paper in five, and a named consultant on site until the change has stuck.

Day rate €1,150, published on this page, with a written scope that says exactly what you get for it.

Team bios

Ingrid Sørensen — Founding partner

Ingrid spent nineteen years running operations for a food manufacturer before starting the firm in 2011, most of that on the factory floor rather than in a head office. She writes the diagnostic on every engagement herself, and she is polite about a bad idea exactly once.

Rafael Monteiro — Partner, cost & margin

Rafael rebuilds cost models from source data and has an unnerving memory for which assumptions were quietly changed between drafts. He came to consulting after twelve years in commercial finance, and he will ask for the raw extract, never the summary tab.

Aisha Karimova — Partner, implementation

Aisha is the one still there in month seven, when the enthusiasm has worn off and the new process is competing with the old one. She has led fourteen change programmes, and eleven of them are still running the way they were designed.

Quotes

“They gave us three options and told us the one we wanted was the worst of them, with the numbers to prove it. We took the second. Two years on, margin is up 6.4% and I still think about that meeting.”

Jonas Brenner, Chief Executive, packaging group

“The diagnostic cost €18,500 and identified €740,000 of annual waste in a single product line. My finance director's exact words were “we have been paying for this for six years”.”

Lucia Ferrante, Group Finance Director

“What I did not expect was the follow-up. A year later Aisha turned up for a day, unpaid, and told us politely that we had let two of the changes slide. She was right!”

Martin Okoye, Operations Director

FAQ answers

What does a full engagement cost?

The diagnostic is fixed at €18,500. Decision papers run from €22,000 to €60,000 depending on how many options you want costed. Implementation support is billed monthly at the day rate of €1,150. Everything is agreed in writing beforehand, and we do not bill for travel within the region.

Will you send junior staff once we sign?

No. The people you meet in the first conversation are the people who do the work, which is precisely why we take four engagements at a time. If a partner leaves an engagement you may terminate it that week, and we invoice only for what has been delivered.

Do you work with organisations under 50 staff?

Yes, though we will say early on if a three-week diagnostic is more than your question deserves. About a quarter of our clients employ fewer than fifty people. Twice last year we answered the question in a single paid afternoon and declined the engagement that would have followed.

How do you measure whether it worked?

We agree three or four numbers with you before the work starts, then come back twelve months later for a day at no charge to check them. Where the forecast was wrong we write down why. Nine of eleven engagements met or beat their forecast last year.

Closing lines

If you already know roughly what is wrong and want a second opinion before spending money on it, say so — that is a phone call, not an engagement, and it costs nothing. We would rather turn work down than sell you a diagnostic you do not need.

The first conversation runs about forty minutes and involves one of the three partners. Bring the report somebody else wrote for you, and we will tell you honestly which parts of it still stand.
