Annika took the site over in 2009 when it had six runs and a leaking roof. She still does the 06:30 feed most mornings and writes the daily notes herself. She is also the reason we turn bookings away in August rather than squeeze another dog in.
Daniel Osei — Head kennel hand
Daniel has been here eleven years and knows which dogs need the long field and which need the short lead. He trained as a veterinary nurse first, so he is the one who notices a limp on day three — twice this year that mattered a great deal.
Rosa Delaney — Cattery & bookings
Rosa runs the cat wing and the diary, which fill up at exactly the same times of year. She will ask you a lot of questions on the phone: litter type, hiding habits, whether the cat comes when called. Fourteen cats of her own, allegedly three.

FAQ answers
What vaccinations do you require?
Core vaccinations for dogs and cats, plus kennel cough given at least fourteen days before arrival. Bring the card — we copy it at check-in. Microchipping is not compulsory here, but we will note the number if there is one, and we do check that it scans.
Can my two dogs share a kennel?
Yes, if they live together and are comfortable being fed side by side. Two sharing is £44 a night rather than £52. If either one guards food we separate them at mealtimes and put the bowls back together on day two, once things have calmed down.
What if my dog will not eat?
It happens, usually on the first day, and it is almost always nerves rather than illness. We warm the food, hand-feed if that helps, and tell you the same evening. If nothing has been eaten by the second morning we call the vet, and that is not a decision we sit on.
How far ahead should I book?
For school holidays and the last two weeks of December, three months is not too early; we are usually full by the end of March for August. Outside those periods a fortnight is normally enough. A £30 deposit holds the dates and comes off the final bill.
Closing lines
Come and look round before you book anything. We show people the actual kennels, at feeding time, with the noise and the smell — not a photograph taken on a quiet Tuesday. Visits run Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 15:00, and you do not need an appointment.
If you are collecting straight from a flight, give us the arrival time rather than the flight number and we will keep somebody on until you get here. Late collection after 18:00 is £12 an hour, though for a delayed flight we tend to forget about it.
