We fly short routes between small airports, mostly under 700 km, using a single aircraft type with 78 seats. One type means every engineer knows every aircraft, so a technical problem is usually solved on the stand rather than by cancelling. The longest sector is 2 hours 05 minutes and the shortest is 38.

Fares & services

  • Standard fare — One way from $59, with 8 kg of cabin baggage, a seat assigned at check-in and one free date change up to 24 hours before departure. Non-refundable, though the taxes come back if you cancel.
  • Flexible fare — From $134 one way: change the date or the route free of charge up to two hours before departure, refundable in full, 23 kg of hold luggage included, and priority boarding that genuinely is first.
  • Hold luggage & sports kit — 23 kg for $28 when booked online. Bicycles, skis and instruments travel at $40 a piece in a heated hold, which is not something every short-haul operator can say about theirs.
  • Assistance & reduced mobility — Tell us at booking, or at least 48 hours before departure. A wheelchair to the aircraft door on every route, an aisle chair at eleven airports, and boarding ahead of the queue with whoever is travelling with you.

Fares start at $59 one way and include 8 kg of hand luggage, a seat assigned free of charge at check-in, and one date change for the difference in price. Hold luggage of 23 kg costs $28 booked online and $45 at the airport — a gap we would honestly rather you avoided.

Hero lines

  • Short flights, run properly
  • Thirty-one routes, one aircraft type
  • The 07:10 leaves at 07:10

Fourteen aircraft, thirty-one routes and an on-time record of 87.4% last year — published every month, good or bad.

Hand luggage of 8 kg is included on every fare, and the seat beside a child is never charged for separately.

Check-in closes 40 minutes before departure and the gate closes 20 — we hold neither, which is why we leave on time.

Team bios

Sanne de Ruiter — Director of flight operations

Sanne flew the line for nineteen years before moving to the office and still keeps her licence current, which means two rotations a month. She wrote the current disruption policy after a delayed evening in February 2019 and has not changed a word of it since.

Kwabena Mensah — Head of ground operations

Kwabena is responsible for the twenty-five minutes between one flight landing and the next leaving. He counts everything: bags a minute, steps to the gate, how long a de-icing truck takes at 05:00. Punctuality here is his department and he is quietly competitive about it.

Elena Varga — Cabin services manager

Elena manages ninety-four cabin crew across three bases and still works four flights a month, so she knows what the job is actually like this year. She introduced the rule that crew eat before the last sector — small, obvious, and it changed every evening flight!

Quotes

“Our inbound was late and we lost the connection. Nobody argued: rebooked on the 18:40, a hotel voucher printed before we reached the desk, and a text explaining exactly what would happen next.”

Hilde Brenner, Flies the northern route monthly

“I travel with a wheelchair and normally spend the flight worrying about the aisle chair. Here it was at the door both ways, exactly as booked — “we have you on the sheet”, said the agent, and they did.”

Andrei Lupescu, Twelve return flights last year

“Seventy-eight seats, no fuss, and it left at 07:10 with the door closed at 07:04. I have paid three times as much to sit on a runway somewhere for an hour and a half.”

FAQ answers

How early should I get to the airport?

Check-in closes 40 minutes before departure and the gate closes 20 minutes before, so an hour is comfortable at the airports we serve. With hold luggage or a pushchair, make it ninety minutes. We do not reopen a closed gate for anybody, including our own staff.

What happens if my flight is cancelled?

You are rebooked automatically onto the next available flight and told by text, usually before the departure board changes. If the delay runs past six hours you can take a full refund instead, paid back to the card within seven working days rather than seven weeks.

How much hand luggage can I bring?

One bag of 8 kg, up to 55 by 40 by 20 cm, plus a small personal item that fits under the seat in front. We weigh at the gate on full flights, roughly one departure in five, and a bag over the limit goes into the hold for $45.

Do you fly in bad weather?

More often than you would expect: the aircraft handles crosswinds up to 61 km/h and the crews train for it. What stops us is visibility at the smaller fields, which have no instrument approach. In those cases we would rather delay and go later the same day than cancel.

Closing lines

We are not the largest airline flying these routes and we do not intend to become one. Fourteen aircraft, thirty-one routes, three crew bases — a network small enough that somebody in the operations room knows where every aircraft is.

Book direct and the price is the price: no card fee, no charge for a seat assigned at check-in, and no fare that quietly doubles on the last screen. The timetable for the winter season is published on 1 September.
